This beautifully balanced, custom home was imagined as a place with history - a refined retreat with the soul of a classic, built for a modern family. Designed by Murphy & Co. with interior design by Prospect Refuge Studio, the project integrates tradition and originality, with Streeter’s seasoned team of framers and trim carpenters delivering a level of craftsmanship rare in the building industry.
Set in a historic neighborhood, the painted brick and shingle-style exterior echoes the architecture of the neighborhood while introducing a fresh palette of white, cedar, and deep blue. Inside, a guiding concept, likened to the versatility of a white button-down shirt, informed both structure and style.
The geometric marble-inlaid foyer, white oak-wrapped staircase, and floor-to-ceiling colonial-style Marvin windows reflect a clear, intentional design language. A custom Isokern fireplace with a raised travertine hearth anchors the living room, while curved cove detailing softens the transition between walls and ceilings.
Family living shaped the layout: a cozy room off the kitchen invites daily connection, and the kitchen itself features a double-layered glass range hood and a window wall overlooking the creek. Upstairs, a central lounge links all bedrooms, while the lower level includes a sport court, craft room, and guest suite with sauna.
Clean lines, tailored finishes, and refined materials define this timeless, highly livable home.
